About Our Services
VOICe provides an array of free and confidential services to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and other violent crimes. VOICe remains the sole provider of comprehensive victims’ services in Butler County.
We provide services to adults, teens and children as well as preventative services to the broader community. Since domestic violence does not discriminate based on race, ethnicity, national origin, color, class, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, political belief, religion and mental or physical challenge, neither does VOICe.
Some of our services include:
- 24-Hour Hotline
- Emergency Crisis Shelter
- Transitional Housing Options
- Children Services
- Civil Legal Representation
- Medical Advocacy
- Legal Advocacy
- Prevention Education
All survivors served by the agency are made aware of our accompaniment services. Trained staff and/or volunteers are available to accompany survivors to hearings, appointments or to any agency which enables the survivor to achieve the goals of their service plan.
VOICe has an extremely active victim advocacy component. The agency advocates for survivors with such agencies and institutions as hospitals, welfare services, housing, criminal justice/court agencies, mental health services and legal services.
Information and Referral
This is an on-going service of the agency and acts as a cornerstone for all other services. Providing survivors with information on domestic violence, sexual assault and other crime, options available and existing services, increases their sense of power while decreasing their sense of isolation and helplessness.
