About Civil Legal Representation (CLR)
Victim Outreach Intervention Center’s Civil Legal Representation (CLR) project began in 2001. Since that time, the attorneys and legal staff have been committed to providing free and confidential legal assistance, advice, referrals, and representation to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Survivors face unique issues and it is important to have an attorney that understands those issues while navigating the legal system. Our attorneys provide responsive and effective legal representation of survivors designed to enhance their safety and eliminate barriers in seeking civil legal assistance.
Representation is limited to:
- Butler county, PA residents
- Survivors of domestic violence and/or sexual assault
- Civil legal issues that are a direct result of the domestic violence or sexual assault
Primary areas in which legal assistance is provided:
- Protection from Abuse (PFA) orders
- Protection from Intimidation (PFI) orders
- Sexual Violence Protection (SVP) orders
- Support – child and spousal

“Our civil justice system has moved toward resolving family issues through mediation, co-parenting, anger management groups and conciliation hearings. However well intended, no balance of power can exist in any of these processes when the power is held in the hands of an abuser.” – Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence
