Here is our Wish List for May 2012.  Again, the most requested item this month is batteries.  We especially need AAA and AA batteries, but any size will be greatly appreciated..  We also need toliet paper and paper towels.  Seems as if we can never have enough of these!

Please remember to call us at 724-776-5910 to let us know the make and color of your vehicle you will be driving, as well as the approximate time of arrival.

Donation Days

Without your donations VOICe's work would be incomplete—the financial, food, clothing and household items you donate are used to assist everyone we serve.

"Donation Day" occurs on the last Thursday of every month from January through October. The months of November and December are reserved for holiday donations and we only accept new items.

Please remember to call us at 724-776-5910 to let us know the make and color of your vehicle you will be driving, as well as the approximate time of arrival.

Our storage space has become nonexistent; and as the number of victims being served increases while our volunteer corps decreases, we must again ask for your help. The following lists detail the items we accept and those we do not.*

VOICe Will Be Happy to Accept:

• Food Items
  • Must have original manufacturer's label
  • Must be free from defect or contamination
  • Must be new and unopened
  • Must have safety seal intact, if applicable
  • Must not be expired
• New toiletries (full-sized only), hairdryers, feminine hygiene products
• Clean, gently-used, seasonally appropriate women's and children's clothing for the current season
• Gently worn shoes and boots
• Office supplies
• New batteries (all sizes)
• Gently used hand tools and small power tools
• Gently used small household appliances
• House wares: dish sets (only sets), glassware, coffee mugs, silverware, kitchen utensils, baking dishes and pots & pans
• Linens, sheets, blankets, comforters, quilts, room-sized rugs, throw rugs, curtains & drapes
• Lamps and lighting
• Framed art work & home decorating items
• Financial assistance, phone cards & gift cards are always welcome!

VOICe is Not Able to Accept:

• Damaged items of any kind (broken, stained, torn, missing pieces, etc.)
• Stuffed animals
• Opened toiletries or travel/trial-sized toiletries
• Used toys, opened puzzles or games
• Computers or computer hardware/software
• Broken, torn or stained furniture
• High chairs, baby beds, cribs, walkers, playpens, car seats and baby bottles
• Exercise equipment
• Bicycles or tricycles
• Damaged books, magazines or encyclopedias
• Gas appliances
• Refrigerators, stove or freezers
• Sofa beds
• Water beds

Furniture in good condition is always needed. Please call Sarah at 724-776-5910 to make specific arrangements. This will ensure the ability to accept and provide a survivor with your donation.
