Coming Soon: 2011-2012 Prevention Education Programs

VOICe is gearing up for the new school year of prevention education programs. We have primary prevention programs for all ages with topics ranging from bullying and strangers to dating and healthy relationships. Prevention programs can be provided within the school setting or as a part of your community group's programming.

The goal of primary prevention programs is preventing the perpetration of violence before it happens. This is done by changing a potential perpetrators knowledge, attitudes, beliefs and behaviors about the perpetration of violence. During the 2010-2011 school year, over 300 presented programs reached over 9,400 participants.

VOICe also has programs for your organization or business addressing issues dealing with violence in the workplace. Workplace violence programs will help organizations and businesses understand the dynamics of:

  • workplace violence,
  • sexual harassment,
  • domestic violence, and
  • sexual assault.

With this knowledge, your organization or business would be better able to identify and support your employees, clients, and other stakeholders who are being victimized as well as communicating with your staff about preventing victimization and improving personal safety at work and home. Overall, your organization or business will be better equipped to create a safe and supportive workplace environment.

If you are interested in learning more about VOICe's primary prevention programs or workplace violence programs please feel free to call or email Courtney at 724-776-5910 or courtney@voiceforvictims.com.
